蜜蜂ー誕生から1年過ぎた女王蜂の状況
育成中の4群の内、1群は4月22日に「分蜂」した群で、昨年の6月に誕生した女王蜂で維持されている。
この女王蜂は既に1年を経過しており、前回の内検では問題なく産卵を続けていたが、13日の内検では産卵がやや減少し、「女王蜂」はスリムに見えた。また、「新女王蜂」作りのための「王台」も数個見られた。
これは、「分蜂」の兆しでもあるが、女王蜂の経年劣化とも取れるので、そろそろ交代した方がいいと思える。女王蜂の交換は一般的に1年で行われているので、その時期に達した様だ。
前号で紹介した様に、「予備女王蜂」が誕生したので、順調に育ってくれたら、近い内に交換したいと考えている。
交換に当たっては、いきなり女王蜂を入れ換えることができず、それなりのプロセスを踏む必要がある。 次号に続く。
